I am currently working on learning Japanese, taking lessons and using websites such as Youtube as a means of self-study. I'm currently living in Brussels and I really want to improve my Portuguese. Being able to hold a conversation would be great.
Regarding Chinese I don't know anything yet but I'm interested to get a first interaction and see how that goes.
I love taking walks while talking about just anything in life, preferably in a green environment, but Brussels city also have a lot of very nice spots.
My native tongue is Dutch but I speak fluent French and English.

I am a professional language teacher with a background in neuroscience and language acquisition, running a tutoring service focussed on helping foreigners master the Dutch language.

Hi, my name is Gijs. I am interested in learning new languages and talking about different cultures. I just began learning Japanese, so I won't be able to have full fledged conversations yet. However, I hope to gain a better understanding of the Japanese language in the following months. In the meantime I hope to learn more about the Japanese culture and make friends, while sharing my knowledge of the Dutch language and culture.
